Ingrid A. Bough New Head of Territorial Libraries
March 25, 2008: Ingrid Bough, a St. Croix native, has just been appointed Territorial Director of Libraries, Archives and Museums. Friends of St. Thomas Public Libraries (FOSTPL) is pleased to note this development as a progressive step towards the development of a comprehensive plan for the improvement of library services in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
FOSTPL continues to advocate for the continuation of plans for the St. Thomas Regional Library and Records Center, sometimes referred to as the "Tutu Library" in the area of the Tutu Park Mall. Much excitement accompanied the groundbreaking, and we look forward to a date when the convenient location, larger facilities and meeting spaces will serve to encourage literacy and interaction between parents, children, families and friends.
