Albert Daniel presentation at Enid M. Baa Public Library

May 11, 2009: In keeping with the mission of the Enid M. Baa Public Library (EMBLP) to maintain and improve the quality of library services to the community, the Department of Planning and Natural Resources has planned a presentation on St. Thomas painter and sculptor Albert E. Daniel as the concluding community interest program @ your public library.

The community is invited to celebrate the 112th anniversary of Albert Daniel's birth at the Enid M. Baa Public library on Saturday, May 16th, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Mrs. Magda Smith, a student of art history, friend, and admirer of Daniel's work, will present the life and art of Mr. Daniel through digital images and discussion of the artist's contribution to the cultural heritage of the Virgin

Islands. A videotaped interview of Albert Daniel will be included in the presentation. Persons who knew Mr. Daniel will be encouraged to offer informal tributes.
