Saturday Children's Reading Program
|
For children of all ages, every Saturday morning at the Enid M Baa Children's Library is the Reading Program. This program (which is managed by the Enid M. Baa Library and run by volunteers) creates a fun learning space and promotes children's literacy. Each week there are crafts, games and songs centered on learning and reading themes. There is also a story time and local poet Basil Bussue encourages the children to read poetry that they themselves have composed. |

This program has been taken over by the library staff and the regular volunteers: Basil Bassue ('Bless Up') and some of the student volunteers that David Simon organized. The program continues to need the support FOSTPL and the community - let's get the word out! They are still making use of the grant from the Community Foundation obtained last year.
