Saturday Children's Reading Program

For children of all ages, every Saturday morning at the Enid M Baa Children's Library is the Reading Program. This program (which is managed by the Enid M. Baa Library and run by volunteers) creates a fun learning space and promotes children's literacy. Each week there are crafts, games and songs centered on learning and reading themes. There is also a story time and local poet Basil Bussue encourages the children to read poetry that they themselves have composed.
At the end of the program snacks are handed out to all the children. So parents please drop by with your kids. We'd love to see you! [This program is funded with a mini grant from the Community Foundation.]

This program has been taken over by the library staff and the regular volunteers: Basil Bassue ('Bless Up') and some of the student volunteers that David Simon organized. The program continues to need the support FOSTPL and the community - let's get the word out! They are still making use of the grant from the Community Foundation obtained last year.
