Tillet Arts Alive Student Outreach Program

Friends of the St. Thomas Public Libraries (FOSTPL) Board and Executive Members believe that exposure to the arts is the perfect adjunct to any literacy program. Tillet Gardens Center for the Arts on St. Thomas continues to foster appreciation for the arts... in all of their varied means and modes. The Student Outreach Program combines adult chaperones with eager students to create fabulous opportunities to interface with artists and explore the world of music The criteria are as follows:

1) Students attending the concert must be there by 7pm, sharp!

2) Students will meet with the artist(s) to discuss the evening's program and converse.

3) They will then meet with a Trustee of Arts Alive to learn about proper audience etiquette.

4) All chaperones are required to sit with the students that they bring to the concert.

5) As many concerts take place on school nights, it is understood that some students may need to leave at intermission.
